So.... what did we all think to the new course layout? Did we loose anyone? Were you all happier we've taken the inclines out for a 4th time? Hopefully you'll agree this makes the Thread less monotonous and more accessible for new runners. Time will tell. A few comments came in at the end questioning the distance. This has been measured with a wheel to 5KM - hence the new start location. GPS watches will struggle with the dead turns and may come up short. Trust in THQ.
Anyway, to the business end........and Andy Sheldon has the honour of completing the 3 lap course in the best time ever! 17:39 - can anyone beat that? Oliver Brocklehurst and Ricky Wood followed Andy in. First lady back was Hayley Wagstaff.
The younglings did well today given to undertake just one lap meant completing a mile now.
Important we had our marshals on show today in case we needed any search and rescue operations. Well done to Roger, Ranald, Andy and Joanne.
Continuing our new plan for donations as outlined in our pre-run January email. Thank you for your generosity amounting to £92.91 which will be going to the Stroke Association
See you all in April
