November 2018 Thread

So on this day in 1983 Bill Gates introduces Windows 1.0 and families everywhere begin to experience the battle for keeping kids active versus allowing "IT time" - a battle Britain appears to be losing.

Threaders can bask in their collective smugness for keeping the nostalgia of "jumpers for goalposts" and other such pre-digital activities alive with their own contribution to fitness this morning. THQs own illiterate IT skills does make this a somewhat biased argument, but there you go....

And so to business and John Thorpe romped home just missing out on a sub 18 minute time, followed by Jack Cummins and Darren Lacey. Our first lady back was Alaina Bond in 4th place.

The younglings impressed with determination and grit, even if that meant crying through the finishing line.

Congratulations to the half of THQ missing on their wedding anniversary today and a huge thanks Dennis Belbin and Andy Lessiter for back up along side the rest of THQ. Course Marshals today were Roger and Josh- thanks as ever.

This month’s donations are going to Ashgate Hospice, nominated by Tony Stirland. Thanks to Threaders - you've raised £93.31.

See you all for the annual fancy dress / eye watering Jamboree that is the December run
