Well…fair play to those of turning out today and still intending to join the Chatsworth Vitality move event tomorrow, very dedicated. For those of you alarmed at such a feat and consider yourselves a slow jogger - take heart - you’ll burn at least 10 calories per minute of running. That means you’ll run off half a block of Lindt Dark Chocolate in less than 23 min - roughly our average Thread completion time, no wonder we see the terrace cafe crammed with cappuccinos and muffins in Threaders hands after the event.
Anyhow, at the business end Andrew Sheldon lead everyone home closely followed by John Thorpe – who knocked a significant chunk off his PB! First lady was Shelly Fairey! A couple of special mentions, firstly to Sandra Yates, attending for the first time – we’ll see you and grandchildren again next month! Secondly to Larry Cooper aged 8 who was at home having a cup of tea as his Dad was crossing the line! Well done to all.
As ever, a huge thanks to our marshals and their tireless enthusiasm. Special thanks to our last-minute substitute Laurie Croft for stepping in to help and doing a sterling job. Laurie is officially a fully-fledged member of Thread HQ now – welcome to the team!! Benefitting from Threaders generous donations to the tune of £90.42 this month is the World Wildlife Fund nominated by James Eaton
