Can we start off with a huge thank you. As Threaders know, there is a maintenance charge to keep the the timing system operational. We are so lucky to have the continued support of Fidler Taylor who have stepped in yet again to keep these charges being passed onto Threaders - we do however rely on you runners continuing with donations for our charity causes - 124 runners today (see donation total below!).
To the business end and a case of mistaken identity when a young blonde pony-tailed lady sprinted over the line only for it to become apparent, when a beard hoved into view, it was Lewis Gibbs, just pipping Mike and Simon
The youngsters had a strong showing today, 6 year old Freddie Smith ran 2 superb laps for his first outing, Georgie Jackson completed four laps for the first time and Sophie Hopkinson came in under 25 mins - not bad for a footballer.
Liz Cameron has been one of a merry band of less than 40 runners with us from the beginning of the Thread. This was Liz’s last run as she’s moving from the area. A big thank you from THQ for showing such loyal support over the years. Look out for one of those sub-Thread, Park Run thingys to keep those fitness levels up, Liz.

Our usual marshals were absent today, following their electioneering success on behalf of President-elect Trump, we had hope they’d be back but ironically for orienteers, appear to still be lost in transit. Benefitting from Threaders generous donations to the tune of £102.98 this month will be MacMillian Cancer Trust nominated by Gavin Simmons. By the Way, if you head to the Thread 50K club page there are around 25 runners yet to nominate their chosen charity after completing 10 Threads - please do email in and let us know.
See you next month - as it’s December, so fancy dress mandatory please !
